Jennifer Nelson-Williams

Jennifer is a native Hoosier; she was a 1985 graduate of North Central High School and a 1989 graduate of the University of Arizona. She earned her Mortuary Science degree in 1991 in Atlanta, GA and returned to Indianapolis to work with her father, Max Nelson, at A.R.N. Funeral & Cremation Services. Jennifer was named the president of ARN in 2000.

She volunteers and enjoys involvement with many local charities, including Brooke’s Place, Gleaners Food Bank,  United Way of Central Indiana’s ReadUP program, Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis, Hooverwood Nursing Home and Bureau of Jewish Education.  She is a past president of BJE Auxiliary and Hooverwood Guild and a former Board of Director of the Hightower Board of the Indiana Funeral Directors Association. In 2014, Jennifer participated in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Man and Woman of the Year Campaign, which raises funds and community awareness for blood cancers.  She proudly raised over 75K for the important cause, placing as a runner-up in the competition.

In 2016, feeling deeply frustrated by the negative campaign rhetoric, Jennifer co-founded Women4Change Indiana, with her friend, Sandy Sasso.  Women4Change Indiana works to engage Indiana women in the political process.

She is the proud mother of Ari and Lindsay.
