Tonya Brothers-Bridge is the Founder and CEO of Transformation Team, Inc., a boutique consulting firm specializing in strategic planning facilitation, strategy development, and executive coaching.
For more than three years, Tonya served the State of Indiana as Chief of Staff for Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann. Tonya also served as Lt. Governor’s Campaign Director, and as her State Representative Campaign Manager.
In her role as Chief of Staff, Tonya directed the staff within the Lt. Governor’s executive office, business office, and family of businesses including Housing and Community Development, Department of Agriculture, Office of Defense Development, Community and Rural Affairs, Office of Energy, and Office of Tourism. She was appointed Chairwoman for the board of the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority as well as Chairwoman for the Indiana Tourism Council.
Prior to joining state government and starting her consulting firm, Tonya held significant leadership roles within three financial institutions: First Merchants Corporation in Muncie, Indiana; Peoples National Bank in Mt. Vernon, Illinois; and German American Bancorp in Jasper, Indiana. As an executive within the financial services industry, Tonya held senior level responsibilities for retail banking, lending and mortgage origination, marketing, training, and electronic delivery. She was recognized within the industry as a Shining Star in Banking with an award from the Independent Community Bankers Association. In addition, Tonya has spoken nationally for the American Bankers Association Annual Marketing Conferences and addressed the Mutual Insurance Companies of Indiana at their annual conference. Her work has been recognized by industry experts and marketing professionals with numerous awards and recognitions. In addition, to receiving awards, Tonya has judged prestigious marketing competitions and uses her skills to identify and recognize the most effective marketing and sales initiatives.
Tonya holds a bachelor degree in Marketing, has completed the Graduate School of Banking at University of Wisconsin in Madison, and has completed the Commercial Lending School at SMU in Dallas, Texas. She holds many certifications for service and sales training and is also a Certified Simplex Creative Problem Solving Facilitator. Tonya served as the Leadership Pillar Chairperson for the Ferdinand Hometown Competitiveness Initiative, she served as the Dubois County Leadership Academy Chair, and served as a two-term President for the Tri-County YMCA serving Perry, Spencer, and Dubois Counties. Tonya also served on the Dubois County Area Development Corporation’s Enterprise Loan Fund Board. She served on the Memorial Hospital Mission Board and assisted the hospital with advancing its mission of service around the Southern Indiana region. Tonya is a graduate of the 2009-10 class for the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series, which is a national leadership program preparing women to serve in governmental and political positions. Tonya also volunteered as the Vice-Chair for the Dubois County Republican Party. Tonya was nominated and selected as a finalist for the first ever Dubois County Athena Award in 2012.
Tonya and David, her husband of 26 years, live in Ferdinand and Muncie, Indiana.
