On Aug 26, 1920, the 19th amendment was ratified and women were finally granted the right to vote.  While some saw that as the culmination of a 72-year struggle, others saw it as the first victory in a long war to bring equality for women.

At a celebration marking the anniversary, in Michigan City, Christina Hale ( a former Indiana Representative and 2016 Lt. Gov. Candidate) shared her views on how far we have come and how much further we have to go to in this effort to create real equality in our society.

She shared her journey from concerned citizen to politician.  You can read more about the event here.

And if Christina’s story has inspired you. If you wonder if you should consider entering politics, join us on Oct. 28 – 29 for the first ReadyToRun Indiana Event.
