State Representative Donna Schaibley joined the Indiana House of Representatives in December 2014.
Rep. Schaibley was born and raised in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. She graduated from Purdue University where she majored in political science and social studies education. After graduation she married her husband, John, and moved to Washington, D.C.
Rep. Schaibley worked at George Washington University managing the employee benefits program and later worked at Indiana University managing the Math Department office. After her husband started his career as a lawyer, she became a stay-at-home mother.
Before joining the Legislature, Rep. Schaibley was a substitute teacher for several years in the Carmel Clay Schools, focusing on special education classes. She also worked at the Voter Registration office in Hamilton County. She and her husband live in Carmel, and have two children and one grandchild.
